I’m working on something fairly lengthy and kind of fun (for me, it remains to be seen if it’s fun for you), so here’s a quick reminder: Wednesday night is the “Forever Kevin” benefit concert for the Kevin Vulter Renovation Fund which, of course, is named for former Grafton High School football player Kevin Vulter, who died in a car accident a month ago. The goal of the fund is to improve the high school’s football field which will, hopefully, include lights for night games (we’ll find out if we’ve won the WEEI Friday Night Lights contest on December 1).
The benefit starts at 7 p.m. at Grafton High School. A $5 cover charge allows you to see four local bands: Ricky Duran’s Band, Charlie and the Haggertones, Dave Erickson’s Band and Vanderpoll Brothers.
It’s actually rather amazing how quickly the community came together after Vulter’s death to start this effort in his name. There’s also a Thanksgiving Day breakfast in the Grafton High cafeteria for the fund, with servings at 7 and 8:30 a.m., with the cost $5 for adults, $2 for children.
