I was glancing at the agenda for tomorrow night’s Board of Selectmen’s meeting when a familiar name caught my eye: Keith Regan, now the vice chairman of the Planning Board, has submitted his resignation. I emailed with Keith earlier today and he says his resignation takes effect as of March 1.
That should put his seat, which has a term that expires in 2010, on the ballot for the May election, in addition to the seats already held by Robert Hassinger and Richard McCarthy.
By the way, all the races are wide open at this point — we have Judith Meikelbeck, an incumbent, and Charles A. Villee pulling papers for library trustee, Brook Padgett seeking signatures for re-election to the Board of Selectmen and Richard Allen in the running for Housing Authority. The only person who has pulled papers for School Committee is Kathleen Halloran, who I keep meaning to call at a reasonable time of day.
What are you waiting for?
