We have a four-man race for Grafton Board of Selectmen, although some may still try to squeak in some nomination papers before the April 2 deadline.
- Craig Dauphinais, who served as selectman for six years before declining re-election three years ago;
- Bruce Spinney, who served as Planning Board chairman and currently sits on the Finance Committee. He has run and lost the race for selectman in 2011 and 2012 (Facebook page as well);
- Robert Nault, who will forever be known as the last lead story on the Grafton Daily Voice. He is a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Capital Improvement Planning Committee;
- Dennis Flynn, a vocal advocate against the Grafton & Upton Railroad’s propane terminal, who is a retired superintendent of schools for the town of Harvard.
Both David Ross and Peter Adams have decided to not seek re-election.
I’m linking to the Facebook/candidate websites where they’re applicable — let me know as others are added.
For the sake of transparency, I’m asking that any candidate (for that matter, any Grafton official) comment here under an identifiable name. I’ll also take letters to the editor supporting candidates through May 17, with May 18 as the last day of publication. The election is May 21.
