Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
This past week has been incredibly eventful in terms of the Boston Marathon tragedy and the ensuing search for the bombing suspects. Numerous students had connections to these events. As we ready for the return to school tomorrow, I want to brief everyone on our efforts to ensure that any and all individual student needs are met.
Much like we did following the Newtown incident, our staff is prepared to speak with any student who requires additional support. Especially at the younger levels, we will not be speaking to the incidents that took place. We want to make sure that we are especially cognizant of the need for all students to feel safe and to have supports in place for any individual needs that arise. Any parent who believes that their son or daughter may need support is asked to reach out to your child’s teacher and/or principal to make them aware of the potential need.
