Gallery: Second graders experience changes of matter

Enrich2On Monday, April 22nd and Tuesday April 23rd, the second graders at Millbury Street School were captivated by Mrs. Cooper from the Discovery Museum who presented the Physical Changes of Matter program. She visited each class where the children learned more about solids, liquids and gases and the different change cycles they go through. They participated in many experiments which included changing ice to another form of matter, watching Mrs. Cooper use dry ice to make it sublimate and lastly observing the effect that liquid nitrogen had on various objects. Ask your child about their favorite part of the presentation and don’t forget to go to the http://tinyurl.com/TSWactivity  to complete a survey about the program and win a free admission ticket to the museum!

This Enrichment Program was paid for by the SGPTO.
