Central Mass lacrosse teams are Boston Strong

OneFundFour Central Mass boys lacrosse teams will be facing off Friday night in a varsity doubleheader on Grafton High School’s Richard Egsegian Memorial Field for the One Fund.

This event was conceived by the Northbridge High School boys lacrosse team as their annual community service project and has quickly grown into an event supported by Grafton, Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School and Westborough as well.

In lieu of admission, donations will be collected at the gate and given to the One Fund, which supports victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, in the name of all four programs.

All teams will wear the Boston Strong stickers on their helmets to show their support for the victims of the attack.

Grafton High faces Westborough at 5 p.m. followed by Northbridge against BVT at 7 p.m.

JV level games between the four schools will start in the afternoon at Grafton High School, Grafton vs Westborough at 3:30 p.m. and Northbrigde vs BVT at 5 p.m. on an adjacent field.

There will also be two half-time exhibition matches featuring youth lacrosse players from Grafton, Northbridge and Westborough.
