Put your chairs out on Grafton Common now, concert season is here

GallagherThe 215th Army Band of the Massachusetts Army National Guard will be helping the town of Grafton celebrate Independence Day on Wednesday in the Grafton Lions Club’s annual concert.

The band will be performing at 7:30 p.m. on  Grafton Common and… there are probably people who are already staking out spots on the Common. In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Municipal Center gym which, let’s face it, is a lot less fun.

The concert isn’t officially part of the town’s Concerts on the Common, but I’m shoving it into this post because they all involve Wednesday, music and Grafton Common. In any case, Concerts on the Common start on Wednesday, July 10 at 7 p.m. Rain location is Grafton Middle School auditorium (I’m breaking into an uncomfortable sweat just thinking of that, so let’s hope Wednesdays are rain-free all summer).

On the schedule:

July 10: Beatles for Sale
July 17: Lynn Jolicoeur and the Pulse
July 24: Jesse Fontaine and the Quartet
July 31: 5 on Friday
August 7: Jumpin’ Juba
August 14: Slow Grass
Aug. 21: Claflin Hill Summer Wind Ensemble

  1. Rain location for the July 3rd Lions club concert is not the municipal center, but the high school auditorium.
