Who knew it only took a few boards of wood to get a train back on track

Reblogging yet another story from Upton Daily today. Jennifer Doyle shot photos and video of the Grafton & Upton Railroad’s derailment in the center of town. Nice work, Jen!

Hopefully, the transport of the next two tanks will go more smoothly!


It’s not every day that a train derails carrying giant propane tanks in a small New England town.

The GURR train carrying two 120 foot propane tanks derailed in Grafton near the Grafton Town Common at approximately 7:00 p.m. It took crews a little over an hour to get the train back on track and moving.

Here are photos and video of crews working on the rail road in Grafton today.
